Today I looked outside of myself
To view the inconsistencies, inward and beyond
The everyday drama that denies any sort of truth, and
The envy of an arranged society
Freedoms taken for granted and simple rules
Blatantly ignored, but yet, the day moves on.
Everywhere I turn, I hear a slight bit of havoc
I see a great amount of self indulgence and discontent to those who having nothing and yet,
The night still comes.
People in the streets chanting for away for
Everyone to get along, fighting for people
Who are being oppressed but, with no intentions of compromise.
People with money and Power are the only voices ever heard, usually behind closed doors.
There is a little more attention on inhibitual habits because that is the real problem.
The root of all evil is in your pockets, the things that make the world go round, unfortunately
Is the substance that can seize your existence but yet, tomorrow is another day
Today I looked outside of myself
To view the inconsistencies, inward and beyond
The everyday dramas that deny any sort of truth
Then I realized I was looking at a mirror with the T.V. on behind me…

A Man alone in a room of many
From what I said, you’ve only heard what you wanted to hear
Chosen words, you’ve conjured up half truths, explaining to me your point of view.
From what was said, to you knowing everything.
Don’t assume that you know
Don’t assume it wasn’t said, because you were never really listening any ways.
From what he said, you’ve only spoken down, what you didn’t want to hear,
Distorted versions of what you think, slowly convincing me that we are all wrong, to justify your insecurities.
Don’t assume I don’t know
Don’t assume I won’t say
Because you were never really listening
There you stand in an untruthful world
Thinking and feeling you’ve been done wrong
Because none of us know anything about nothing…
Micheal (Gian)
The sky has darkened and the clouds have turned gray
I can still remember his face, as he slowly passed away
He was so strong, such a spirited soul
He is not here now, now my life is cold
You don’t understand, no one really knows
How much spirit he held and how much love was shown
Oh how I miss you, Oh how the days linger by
You are my inspiration and every reason why
I will overcome my obstacles and never give up and try
To become the man you meant to be before you had to say goodbye…
You were taken so abruptly and at such a young age
But those last words you spoke to me held so much knowledge
Now time has changed and I still miss you the same
I speak out loud, hoping you will hear when I call your name
I promise to continue to continue to fight
Hey remember when we cruised around that night
You were so funny pretty wise and brave
While all of us were scared and didn’t know what was yet to come
No, not you , you played off the part of the helpless little one
Although the sky had darkened and my eyes see gray
I still see your face
When I look out and about, when stare for daze………..
I can still remember his face, as he slowly passed away
He was so strong, such a spirited soul
He is not here now, now my life is cold
You don’t understand, no one really knows
How much spirit he held and how much love was shown
