A Man alone in a room of many

From what I said, you’ve only heard what you wanted to hear
Chosen words, you’ve conjured up half truths, explaining to me your point of view.
From what was said, to you knowing everything.
Don’t assume that you know

Don’t assume it wasn’t said, because you were never really listening any ways.
From what he said, you’ve only spoken down, what you didn’t want to hear,
Distorted versions of what you think, slowly convincing me that we are all wrong, to justify your insecurities.

Don’t assume I don’t know
Don’t assume I won’t say
Because you were never really listening

There you stand in an untruthful world
Thinking and feeling you’ve been done wrong
Because none of us know anything about nothing…
